You open the Gemspot app and see a map of hidden gems scattered around your town — real local businesses, landmarks, and gathering spots. Each gem is marked on the map, and each one has a challenge waiting for you.
Travel to each location, find the hidden Gemspot medallion, scan it with your phone, and solve the riddle to unlock the gem. Claim it, earn points, and watch your name climb the leaderboard. Some businesses even opt-in to offer a treasure or discount for finding their gem! Challenge your friends to beat your time. That's it. That's the game.

A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDERS
Why we built Gemspot
Gemspot started in a small Oklahoma lake town we love — built by a mother and daughter giving back to our community, and bringing a fresh marketing idea to an industry that needs one.
Building it side by side.
Showing up — every season.
We moved to Oklahoma in 2020 and fell hard for Grand Lake — and the way we fell for it was by showing up. For six years, this community is where we spent our time and gave our hearts.
Showing up — every season. Lexi was fully involved in the best way: student council president, cheerleading and stunt, volunteering at charity events, always one of the first to show up when the town needed hands. Misti was right there beside her — together we even co-founded Mooving Through Grove, a charity event for C.O.W. week that helped students raise nearly $250,000 in Lexi’s senior year. Somewhere along the way, all that showing up stopped being something we did — it became who we are, and the biggest part of what we love about living here.
Then came the bittersweet part. With Lexi heading off to college, that whole rhythm of being out in the community together was about to change — drastically. And neither of us wanted it to end.
So we created Gemspot: a reason to keep showing up, and a way to pull a whole town out into the businesses and streets we love. We built it for our town and for us — and now we get to build it for realtors and towns everywhere.
