We moved to Oklahoma in 2020 and fell hard for Grand Lake — and we fell for it by showing up. Lexi did it all: student council president, cheer and stunt, charity events. Together we even co-founded Mooving Through Grove, helping students raise nearly $250,000 in Lexi's senior year. With Lexi heading off to college, that rhythm of being out in the community together was about to change — and neither of us wanted it to end. So we created Gemspot: a reason to keep showing up, and a way to pull the whole town into the businesses and streets we love. Is the Gemspot really free?
Yes! Gemspot is completely free to download and play. You can explore gems, scan medallions, solve riddles, and compete on leaderboards without paying anything.
How do I find the gems in town?
Download the app and you'll see a map showing all the gems in your area. Each gem is a local business, landmark, or gathering spot. Travel to each location to find the hidden Gemspot medallion.
How much does it cost for my business to join?
It's completely free to join Gemspot as a business! You get foot traffic from players hunting for gems. If you want additional features like a branded business page, bigger map markers, or push notifications, you can upgrade to Premium or Platinum packages.
What's included in Premium and Platinum?
Premium: Get a branded 'About Your Business' page in the app and a bigger marker on the map so players can find you easier. Platinum: Send exclusive events, deals, and discounts directly to players' phones as push notifications, plus access analytics and virtual seasonal gems.
How do I get started as a business?
Click 'For Businesses' to learn more about how to get your location added to the hunt. We'll work with you to place a Gemspot medallion at your business and set up your profile.
What does a sponsor get?
As the exclusive sponsor for your town, you become the face of Gemspot in your community. You'll build relationships with local businesses, generate qualified leads from engaged players, and market your business through community giving.
