GEMSPOT
The local treasure hunt.
A free app where players discover local "gems" — the businesses, landmarks, and gathering spots around town — by finding QR Medallions, solving a riddle, and logging the find. It's built to get people out exploring their own community and seeing the hidden treasures in their town.
HOW IT WORKS
A TREASURE HUNT ACROSS YOUR TOWN.
STEP ONE
OPEN & EXPLORE
Players download a free app on their phone and see a map of hidden gems around town.
STEP TWO
SCAN ON-SITE
They travel to real local spots, find a Gemspot medallion, and scan it to unlock a clue and beat the clock. Often businesses give away something to remember them by.
STEP THREE
SOLVE & SHARE
They compete on the leaderboard and dare friends to beat their time.

WHO'S BEHIND IT
A LOCAL MOTHER-DAUGHTER TEAM

— Misti & Lexi
Founders of Gemspot
We moved to Oklahoma in 2020 and fell hard for Grand Lake — and we fell for it by showing up. Lexi did it all: student council president, cheer and stunt, charity events. Together we even co-founded Mooving Through Grove, helping students raise nearly $250,000 in Lexi's senior year. With Lexi heading off to college, that rhythm of being out in the community together was about to change — and neither of us wanted it to end. So we created Gemspot: a reason to keep showing up, and a way to pull the whole town into the businesses and streets we love. "We didn't want to leave home behind — so we built something to share home with everyone."
